The 128GB and 512GB versions of the S10 Plus make do with 8GB of RAM, but the 1TB version jumps to 12GB of RAM. You’ll have to be a monster multitasker to feel the difference here. For all intents and purposes, you can expect the same level of performance from both of these phones. The Note 10 Plus has an edge in battery capacity with a 4,300mAh battery, but it also has a bigger screen to power, which swallows up that 200mAh advantage. In our battery test, the Note 10 Plus managed to go for 12 hours and 30 minutes, but the S10 Plus managed an extra 10 minutes. The deciding factor here is the charging because the Note 10 Plus comes with a 25-watt charger, but can be charged at up to 45W if you buy the right kit separately — that means it can be charged up a lot faster than the S10 Plus, which is stuck at 15W. Both have wireless charging support and can charge other devices, like Galaxy Buds, by placing them on the back of the phone. Winner Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus Design and durability Julian Chokkattu/Digital Trends Samsung’s refined design is a real sight to behold, and both of these smartphones are among the best-looking around. The glass front and back curve into a metal frame, but the Note 10 Plus is slightly more blocky, while the S10 Plus has more rounded corners. On the back, the S10 Plus has a horizontally arranged camera suite, whereas the Note 10 Plus has vertically stacked lenses offset to the left. Both are available in a range of colors, but the eye-catching aura glow version of the Note really stands out. Around front, the Note has a single hole-punch camera at the top center of the screen, while the S10 Plus has a dual-lens front-facing camera offset to the right. Both are fragile, so cases are advisable. Water is nothing to worry about, though, because they both boast IP68 ratings, which means they can survive submersion unscathed. The S10 Plus is smaller, lighter, and much easier to handle; the Note 10 Plus is enormous. The S10 Plus also has a headphone port and a Bixby button, both of which are absent from the Note. Because the Note 10 Plus has a screen and the S10 Plus has a screen, and they both have that same resolution, the smaller display is slightly sharper, but you won’t really see a difference. The single central lens in the Note 10 Plus is slightly less distracting than the dual-lens in the S10 Plus, but you’ll soon get used to either. We can’t separate them here. Select photos from the Note 10 Plus are slightly better than the S10 Plus, but not by much. These improvements are subtle. Samsung has also added a new Zoom-in Mic feature to enable you to zoom in on audio when recording video. It also worked to improve stabilization in the Note 10 Plus. One of the biggest leads of the Samsung device is its powerful Exynos 9810 processor. This is the same chipset that powered the flagship Galaxy S9 series and Galaxy Note 9 from the last generation. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 settles for a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor. We’ve already tested this chipset before and it handled everything we threw at it well. Although you can definitely get better performance from the Samsung device. What makes the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite special is the features it inherited from the more expensive Galaxy Note devices. The main one is the S-Pen, which is now more powerful and comes with new tricks up its sleeves. There’s also the large display with the new Super AMOLED Plus panel. We also prefer the Infinity-O cutout on the middle-top for the selfie camera. Although we still appreciate the notched AMOLED screen on the Mi Note 10. Despite its bigger screen, the Galaxy Note 10 Lite has a smaller footprint than the Mi Note 10. It’s only thick, that’s 1mm thinner than the Mi Note 10. It also only weighs at 199g versus 208g. It makes the Note 10 Lite more compact and portable for everyday carry. Clearly, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite is for those who want to own a fancy device. A device that can handle every task they throw at it without breaking a sweat. And with the help of the S-Pen, allows them to be more productive or express their creativity. Its price is yet to be announced, but in true Samsung fashion, we already expect it to be priced higher than its opponent. So if money is an issue, then you’re better off with the Xiaomi Mi Note 10. Priced at only Php25,990, this one has the title of being the first to have a 108-megapixel primary camera. The best part is, it comes with four more cameras. There’s the 12-megapixel portrait, 20-megapixel ultra-wide, 5-megapixel telephoto, and 2-megapixel macro cameras. Those clearly overpower the three 12-megapixel shooters on the Galaxy Note 10 Lite, at least on paper. Besides its killer cameras and price, another big’ feature of the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 is its large battery. This thing comes with a 5,260mAh capacity with a complementing 30W fast charging. That's a difference of nearly 100 pixels per inch, which translates to sharper text and graphics on the Note 10 Plus, with individual pixels being harder to discern with the naked that, both devices support HDR10+ color, so you shouldn't expect a richer image in the Note 10 Plus. Samsung actually introduced a similar sensor earlier this year in the Galaxy S10 5G, and we found it did help the device capture slightly sharper bokeh shots, with more accurate definition between the foreground and background of a particular the camera specs sound largely familiar, that's because Samsung hasn't punched up the still photography in the Note 10 series beyond what the Galaxy S10 line offered this past spring. Instead, most of the effort has gone into adding new video modes, like Live Focus for video and AR Doodle, which lets you draw on top of people within the video feed. While most people will likely use Live Focus video to blur backgrounds, both phones also offer a spot color feature, allowing you to keep the subject highlighted while rendering their surroundings in black and white. The regular Note carries 8GB, while the Note 10 Plus benefits from 12GB. As you might imagine, the extra memory gives the Note 10 Plus a bit of a performance boost. On Geekbench 4, which measures general performance, we got a multicore score of 11,210 on the Note 10 Plus, which was roughly 300 points better than the Note 10's 10,906 storage, both devices come with 256GB standard, though only the Note 10 Plus features a microSD slot for expandability, as well as a 512GB life and chargingWith last year's Galaxy Note 9, Samsung introduced its largest battery ever in a smartphone at the time — a 4,000-mAh power pack that delivered 11 hours and 26 minutes of longevity in our Note 10 undercuts that capacity at 3,500 mAh, while the Note 10 Plus improves upon it, with a new 4,300-mAh unit. But for whatever reason, neither Note 10 model outshone the older Note 9 on our battery test, which involves continuous web surfing over T-Mobile's LTE until the phone runs out of power. The Note 10 averaged 9 hours, 25 minutes on our test while the average result for the Note 10 Plus was 10 hours, 47 Note 10 models feature 25-watt fast charging out of the box, which is a huge improvement over previous Samsung handsets. However, like with the Note 9, you aren't forced to use one of Samsung's purpose-built docks to enable DeX; a simple USB Type-C-to-Type-A cable will do. You can even connect the device to a Windows or Mac PC to run DeX like a second operating system, in windowed mode, so you can transfer files more Note 10 Plus offers a number of improvements beyond the standard Note 10, running the gamut from size, to battery capacity, storage and performance and, of course, photography. However, the question is whether those improvements justify the additional $150 you'll pay for the larger you want the largest possible display on your smartphone, and are chiefly concerned with using your Note as a mobile writing or drawing tool, the Note 10 Plus seems worth it. If nothing else, the more expensive model gives you more room to work, which is probably a priority if you're considering a Note in the first said, there's something to love about how the regular model shoehorns a generous display into a body that feels phenomenally compact in your hand. And while those who spring for the cheaper option do lose out on the Plus' bigger battery, increased RAM and sharper display, those are less necessities, as far as features are concerned, and more nice-to-haves. The lack of microSD storage is perhaps the omission that stings the most, though the variant's proportions indicate there was little, if any, room left for a card matter which Note 10 you choose, you'll be getting a smartphone that truly can handle everything you throw at it — except for a pair of headphones, that is.
